Over a century ago, Marcelino Cerroblanco, started the legacy of “Cerroblanco” jewelers. He created his designs with machinery and tools of his own invention.
José Luis Cerroblanco, inherited from his father the talent and procedures to design and create jewelry, additionally he cultivated in the goldsmith branch, in which he accomplished an interesting classic style with baroque influences, consequently he became the best and most creative goldsmith in the region.
Some of his pieces are found in a number of temples in Mexico, particular collections, and in the Museum of Mexican Religious Art.
